Use the back side of the meat pusher to push back the dead cuticles on the nail surface.

Push the cuticles so that the nail takes a square shape.

Use the V-shaped end of the meat pusher to scrape off the dead skin and excess residues.

Be careful not to cut the healthy nail skin while doing this process.

Cutting the cuticle may damage the nail by causing the skin to harden.
